Spirit Verses: Pearly Gates
: Poetry Set to Music
Song Sample:
Song Backstory:
Adding music to poetry is a very interesting concept: How to present the poem in a musical style that captures the essence of the poem itself?
One of my friend Riina's poems, "SIRIANS: Pearly Gates", from her book of poetry, Spirit Verses, is about the transformation of returning to who we are as beings.
The music and poetry swim together in harmony.
Lyrics:
Fast reflections
(A mermaid’s tail)
Follow the song
(Swimming with ease)
Welcome to your birthplace
Where you are reborn
Seabed full of colors
(Rainbow reefs)
Mother whale (Brother dolphin)
Deep down (A treasure chest)
Soul jewels, chakra crown
Gifts to share
Here are your origins
Under the waves
Indigo currents (Turquoise tides)
Indigo currents (Turquoise tides)
Here are your origins
Dive deeper through your heart
Find the pearly gates (And seashell doors)
Dive into the source of who you are
Soaking in the waves of transformation
Here are your origins
Under the waves
Indigo currents (Turquoise tides)
Indigo currents (Turquoise tides)
Dive into the source of who you are
(Soaking in the waves of transformation)
Dive into the source
Of who you are
(Soaking in the waves)
Of transformation
