Adding music to poetry is a very interesting concept: How to present the poem in a musical style that captures the essence of the poem itself?
One of my friend Riina's poems, "ASTARA Elevated with Joy", from her book of poetry, Spirit Verses, is about looking at life and the world from the perspective of a child.

Recognition
beyond words
Elevated with joy
Fairies, angels and birds
Reality as stepping stones
Imagination as wings
Like sleeping beauties
all you earth angels
are waking up
To the scent of flowers
Sound of music
Whispers from the universe
Would you crush a fairy?
Would you shout and trample
Or would you marvel
at its colors
Lift it up higher
Blow gently to make it fly
Would you ask an angel
why are you smiling
when there is sorrow
Would you tell a bird
to stay still
when it’s flapping
its wings
