The music was composed on December 29, 2015.

On the recording, the solo instrument is not a saxophone; it is an EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument).

As a kid, the family would travel up the California coast on the Pacific Coast Highway. We stopped in places like San Simeon, Pismo Beach, and finally, Carmel.

I remember the wind and the waves, the sunshine, the sailboats, the colorful kites, and so many seagulls.

In the 80s, I had the great fortune of being in a music ensemble with two greats: John Patitucci (bass) and Brandon Fields (sax and EWI).

Both John's bass creativity and Brandon's raw musical energy are what I draw on when producing my music.
