Song backstory:

The original piece began life as a jazz piano improvisation I did in 1986, complete with a fretless bass.

Having been immersed in the Japanese pop scene through contacts and projects with CBS/Sony Records Tokyo, and having worked on the soundtracks of many animated films, I felt this song needed an upgrade.

How about as a J-Pop, anime-style rock song?
