Song backstory:

No discussion of the 80s music scene would be complete without mentioning Las Vegas.

Enter Las Vegas cabaret musician and performer extraordinaire, John Kaye.

I had just come up with a keyboard riff with real groove. John grabbed a guitar, and I pressed record on the tape player.

John came up with lyrics and chords for a song he had just heard once, while he was playing. Impressive.

John released a version of this song on his self-titled 2006 CD release.

The version presented here more closely resembles the recording we made that day...including the placeholder lyrics.
